Nice. I'm tempted to replace a few of my external drives. Some are over a decade old. Then again, why replace something that works. All my important crap is backed up.

Remember, those external drives can fail too. Might be time to get a backup for the backup drive at these prices. Remember, HD prices have been high since the Thai floods, and actually, I hate drives larger than 500 gb as they take forever to scan, anf IMO, they hold too much. I already have 1 500 gb drive for music; I think I'm going to use this to start backing up my DVD collection.

I still remember going to the store and buying a Quantum Fireball 6.4GB, thinking, "6.4GB!!! i'll never fill it."

While we're walking down memory lane....

remember when the upgrade, 1st to 28.8, then to 56K dial up was the most exciting thing to come down the pike?

I still have and use my 1st 528 mb thumb drive.

I still remember filling up a 3 gb HD, and being amazed by that!

I still use a 128 mb sandisk flash drive. Bought it black friday for $22. Stood in the freezing rain for 4 hours.

I still own my first computer that I used as a kid with Windows 3.1... had less than a GB on it and still had the 5.25" floppy drive... and I might have my Atari computer somewhere...

Figured I'd add that on here since we are talking about retro electronics... lol
